Boggle Number Puzzles
Use this PowerPoint on an interactive whiteboard or smart TV to see how many different sums students can come up with.
This is a great Maths warm up game to get students thinking about the four operations +,-,%,x and can get them to work collaboratively with others to come up with some different sums.

PLACE VALUE NUMBER GAME
This is a fun, interactive Maths warm up game called Code Cracker.
How it works?
The teacher or student comes up with a five digit number and writes it down.
The rest of the group use whiteboards and draw three lines so that they can have three guesses.
The teacher asks a student to make a guess and then fills in their numbers chosen.
If the number is in the right place it gets a tick. If it is in the wrong place but still in the five digit number it is given an asterisk and if it is not in the combination it is given a cross. Students will enjoy this game and will often be able to ‘Crack the Code’ by the third guess.
*Important rule- You can not use a number more than once in the five digit code
eg- 54398 is ok but 54598 is not because it has 5 twice.

Australian Money Maths Game
This game is perfect for a smart TV or interactive whiteboard.
How the game works?
Students are place into two groups- one yellow team and one pink team. Students stand with their back to the screen and when the teacher says ‘turn’ they need to call out how much money they can see on the screen. The winning person goes to the back of their line. Continue playing until only one player remains and that is the winning team!
There are some cards in the game that can bring players back, knock out other players etc.

Here I have a Gruffalo maths activity with 3 different sheets depending on ability.
Students need to use a 100 chart to fill in the missing numbers on the sheet. They also need to count in 2s and 5s.
The final activity on the sheet is to measure the Gruffalo’s friends. I have cliparts of characters from the story. You can print these and then hide them around the room. Students need to find them and measure the height and length.
